    Description

    Senior Test Engineer (Solar / Power Electronics) - Fremont, CA

    I am working with a solar company that have established themselves as one of the world's top performing companies over the last few years. They have a groundbreaking product that they have unveiled to the solar industry so now would be a great time to join the team in Fremont, CA.

    Responsibilities:

    • Lead the testing of integrated hardware and firmware during product development phase
    • Develop test algorithms and automated scripts along with test fixtures to support production testing, focusing on repeatability and reproducibility
    • Develop and execute test plans and procedures to comply with design specifications
    • Create test protocols and reports for high-voltage convertors and low-voltage racker controls
    • Lead failure analysis to identify root causes of test failures to help correct procedures
    • Oversee qualification, validation and selection process for components inside the hardware designs

    Essential Skills:

    • B.S. or M.S in an Engineering Discipline (Electrical or Electronics Engineering is ideal)
    • 4+ Years experience working with Power Electronics
    • Understanding of high-voltage systems and high-power converters
    • Experience in testing power electronic components including electrical characterization, thermal analysis and reliability testing
    • Must have experience with everyday test equipment such as Oscilloscopes, Multimeters, Power Analyzers and Power Supplies etc.
    • Understanding of how to develop test scripts using a programming language (Python etc.)
