Coastal Waste & Recycling is privately-owned waste disposal and recycling company. We are experiencing explosive growth and with growth comes opportunity.We are currently adding a Corporate Controller to the team. This position will be responsible for all corporate accounting functions, to include
Maintain internal safeguards for revenue receipts, costs, and team and organizational budgets and actual expenditures
Implement consistent corporate accounting policies, practices, and procedures across all programs, adhering to national and local legal standards while remaining knowledgeable of proposed legislation
Develop and enforce internal controls to maximize protection of company assets, policies, procedures, and workflows
Oversee and support corporate accounting team with dynamic leadership that creates an environment of trust and productivity
Ensure compliance with financial and accounting regulations
Prepare and manage corporate budgets
Manage corporate financial reports and documents, such as balance sheets and income statements
Handle preparation for tax returns
Perform financial risk assessments and conduct internal audits
Reconcile banking and investment accounts
Analyze and document corporate financial information
Manage third party relationship with tax and audit firms
The ideal candidate for this position will have a CPA and 10+ years of professional accounting experience with a minimum of 2 years in public accounting.
