Content Marketing Specialist

Ascent Digital is looking for a full-time Content Marketing Specialist to join our team and enrich our digital campaigns with new blog posts, newsletters, video scripts, creative development, social media marketing, and marketing and advertising copy.

Content Marketing responsibilities include conducting extensive research on industry-related topics, coming up with new content ideas, designing creatives, and proofreading and publishing blog posts, social posts, and newsletters. We'd like to meet you if you're experienced in creating online content and have a keen eye for detail. Along with your application, please include samples of your work or a portfolio of your published articles, social posts, and newsletters.

Overall, you'll produce high-quality writing and designs that appeals to our audiences, attracts customers, and raises brand awareness.

Responsibilities

• Research industry-related topics (combining online sources, interviews and studies)
• Conduct basic keyword research and follow SEO best practices to increase online traffic
• Write clear marketing and advertising copy to promote products/services for various client's
• Write and post blogs, and update copy on websites
• Edit and proofread content before publishing
• Newsletter creation and design
• Submit work to editors and clients for input and approval
• Coordinate with marketing and design teams to illustrate articles
• Create posts and manage all social media accounts
• Identify customers' needs and gaps in our content and recommend new topics
• Ensure all-around consistency in branding (style, fonts, images and tone)
• Write scripts and oversee production of commercials for clients
• Create Display and Social Media advertising creatives

Requirements and Skills

• Proven work history as a content writer or other related position
• Experience managing social media content creation and posting
• Portfolio of published articles, social posts, and newsletters
• Knowledge of conducting research using multiple sources
• Familiarity with online publications
• Design knowledge and skills for creatives and graphics
• Excellent English writing and editing skills
• Hands-on experience with Content Management Systems (e.g. WordPress, Shopify)
• Ability to meet deadlines
• 2 years of experience in Digital Marketing is a plus.
