    The Development Associate is involved in the transaction analysis, project underwriting, financing applications, and land entitlement and due diligence processes. Work parameters would encompass the creation and updating of development pro-formas, market analysis, project due diligence, financing applications, and assisting the team in the municipal approval process.

    Requirements

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

    • Bachelor's degree required
    • Master's in Business Administration, Urban Planning or Public Policy preferred
    • Minimum of 3 years within the development or management field
    • Multifamily housing experience, affordable and/or market rate, preferred
    • Strong analytical skills required
    • Ability to synthesize information from disparate sources into a cohesive and convincing narrative
    • Excellent verbal / written communication and presentation skills
    • Excellent interpersonal skills
    • Superior written and verbal communication skills
    • Superior analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Mastery of Microsoft Office; superior Excel skills
    • Ability to create/analyze a financial model; proficiency in real estate financial modeling; ability to mine and manipulate large data sets
    • Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, action-oriented environment
    • Ability to establish relationships across the organization and at various hierarchical levels
    • The ability to occasionally work late hours and weekend hours as needed

    Salary Description

    $85,000 - $105,000 per year
