GFT is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our Geotechnical team in Boston MA This role follows a hybrid work model requiring regular attendance at our Boston office GFT's Geotechnical Dams & Hydraulics Team GFT's Geoprofessionals have in-depth knowledge to excel on the most challenging geotechnical assignments We provide innovative solutions for foundations underground construction earth structures groundwater resources dams and building sites Our geotechnical engineers and geologists specialize in building and bridge structure foundations landslides rock slope stability and earthen dam stability and seepage We have completed more than 1000 subsurface and geophysical projects across the U.S – from small-scale projects to large highways bridges retaining walls landslide repairs and complex dams What you'll be challenged to do This is an excellent career opportunity for an experienced motivated Senior Geotechnical Engineer who thrives in a collaborative team environment This individual will lead geotechnical engineers assist project managers in planning overseeing subsurface explorations performing analyses for transportation facilities water resources other types of projects This person will also play a key role growing our geotechnical capabilities within Massachusetts helping build our team In this capacity the successful candidate will be responsible for leading geotechnical analysis design efforts various projects facilities including shallow deep foundations retaining structures tieback anchors soil nails slope stability design stabilization preparing written reports documentation correspondence design drawings specifications planning explorations laboratory investigations developing proposals participating business development activities assisting senior staff managing client relationships new client development service expansion What you will bring to our firm Bachelor’s Degree Civil Engineering required Professional Engineer P.E. license Massachusetts years of experience with emphasis design development including investigation reports drawings specifications preparation MassDOT reports documents roadway bridge retaining wall infrastructure MBTA Massport CTDOT RIDOT MaineDOT experience slope analysis foundation axial lateral capacity settlement similar Microsoft Office Suite gINT APILE LPILE GRLWEAP SHAFT Slope/W skilled analytical report writing verbal communication skills ability work independently teamwork leadership initiative current Driver's License What we prefer Master’s Degree with focus field construction observation highway transportation projects.
