- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills for clear internal communication within different teams.
- Undergraduate Degree in electrical engineering.
- +10 years of experience in energy transmission planning or renewable generation, with a combination being a plus.
- At least 5 years of experience including engineering review or analysis of electric generation and transmission projects.
- Experience in power flow simulations using PSS/E, PowerWorld, and/or TARA.
- Good knowledge of RTO/ISO transmission planning and generation interconnection processes in markets like CAISO, PJM, SPP, MISO, ERCOT, SERC, NYISO, WECC.
- Lead electrical interconnection, delivery strategies, acquisition analysis for company's assets.
- Assess and monitor changes in policies, procedures, and tariffs relevant to generation interconnection entities in the US.
- Provide compliance and technical support, update the project management database, and assist in the generator commissioning process.
- Conduct SSR and reactive power studies for compliance with grid codes and technical interconnection requirements.
- Negotiate interconnection agreements, support acquisitions due diligence, and advocate for renewable energy projects in technical and policy-based committees.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local grid codes and regulations, and mentor Interconnection Engineer(s) for ISO/RTO processes.

The ideal candidate will support due diligence on potential project acquisitions, assess queue position risks, and oversee progress tracking within RTOs queue cycles. Based in TX, reporting to the Vice President of Technical, this position involves effectively communicating project updates to stakeholders, clients, and team members.
