The Pharmacist works in collaboration with the Director of Pharmacy and according to standard procedure compounds and dispenses medications and pharmaceutical supplies up receiving written prescriptions from the physician Participates on Performance Improvement plans within the hospital Consults with and advises Administration Medical Staff and hospital staff on quality regulatory issues within the organization Supports serves as consultant to all clinical Medical Staff Assists the Director in coordinating implementing activities of Pharmacy Interprets medication orders compounds dispenses medication other pharmaceutical preparations accordance legal ethical professional standards pharmacy practice Supervises technical support staff Assists clinical quality management education programs Provides support for departments respect care all patients aged through geriatric population ages- Participates maintenance dissemination drug information through in-service education hospital personnel consultation patients hospital medical staff Actively assists Pharmacists Technicians discharge routine duties necessary Directs activities provides professional technical guidance Pharmacy personnel Exercises professional judgment imparting therapeutic drug information patients health professionals Competent range treatment needed following patients appropriate ages served by hospital Adult Geriatric Capable entering minimum orders four-hour shift Generates required reports Pick I.V Production reports Performs Backup Procedures correctly Assists Technicians performing technical tasks Maintains aseptic techniques Recycles product appropriately Checks technician prepared products prior release Ensures Technician maintains I.V refrigerator temperature hood cleaning logs Fills orders correct medication Prepares unit use dosage when possible Keeps Director informed workload status Checks support staff accuracy prior medication release Prioritizes work prepare STAT Now Waiting order importance Follows fill arrival orders Reviews patient profile ensure appropriate safe drug therapy No therapeutic duplication Prevents significant drug interaction Prevents avoidable ADR secondary allergies Medication ordered appropriate patient height weight age renal function disease state Must have knowledge patient population served.
