Job summary
The Laboratory Technician is responsible for day-to-day operations on the postmortem floor in the veterinary pathology facility.Activities include necropsy procedures, maintaining laboratory equipment and communication with faculty and students.
This job requires excellent verbal skills, physical ability to move animal remains and adherence to health standards.
The position reports to the Manager of Diagnostic Pathology Center (DPC).
Responsibilities
- Necropsy procedures including dissection record data findings and photography.
- Samples collection inventory maintenance shipping archiving as needed.
- Cleaning decontaminating necropsy area equipment troubleshooting working facilities projects.
