    Basic Qualifications

    Bachelors degree or equivalent is required plus a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience to meet managerial expectations.

    CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
    A Department of Defense TS/SCI security clearance is preferred at time of hire. Candidates must be able to obtain a TS/SCI within a reasonable amount of time after hire, with acceptable timing determined by manager. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

    This Deputy Program Manager position is with Space & Avionics Programs Cyber Systems (SAP-CS) line of business. The space industry is changing drastically driven by significantly lower launch costs, which is enabling new and exciting missions. This inflection point is driving higher growth and opportunities for SAP to address new missions and to counter emerging threats to our nations space assets. In addition to the space segment of the SAP portfolio, the DoD is moving network security closer to the warfighter, which is also expanding the role of SAP to address low power, smaller security systems for wearable, leave behind sensors, small UAVs, and intelligent munitions. This push to move out and secure the edge is another growth area for SAP. As such, we need leaders to help drive that growth and to enable new solutions to enhance the capabilities and protect our warfighters.

    As a seasoned team leader, youll use proposal plans and strategies to lead a team in developing, defining, and implementing cohesive, integrated program/product, subcontractor, and material plans, and business plans that achieve overall current and long-term objectives of the program/product, business unit, and division. The Deputy Program Manager will identify needed resources for projects, define and assign major program roles, lead the establishment of and sets integrated WBS-based budget and schedule baselines, and monitor work accomplished to baseline plans to ensure rate of work completion is sufficient to meet program/product schedules. Well rely on you to balance program risks and opportunities with executable strategies to meet technical requirements and budgets, as well as manage people who lead cross-functional program teams in matrix organization that are focused on the delivery of a product or computer-based system from design to release for customers.

    • Strong knowledge of products and technologies including current and potential applications
    • Skilled in the development and implementation of product/program strategy and tactics
