Description
We are seeking a skilledEvent Manager
to join a top event marketing firm based out of
Overland Park, KS . This position is a hybrid position, but does require travel to events. The Event Manager will work closely with clients from strategy to program completion.
Whether an intimate dinner party for 10 or a fundraiser for 500, this Event Manager will be an integral part of the team, creating extraordinary experiences that drives real business results.
You will be responsible for creating and managing all pre-planning logistics and on-site program operations for various events.COMPENSATION:
Salary $55,000 - $90,000 + Full Benefits (100% employer paid)
Event Manager Responsibilities:
Build strong client relationships by scheduling and executing site inspections with clients and event vendors
Travel on site for various client events
Create and manage key dates for all components of the event
Manage registration
Negotiate contracts and manage suppliers including hotels, off-site venues, and caterers, etc.
Write master event specification documents and distribute to vendors to ensure accurate delivery of contracted services
Write copy for event communication/collateral pieces
Partner with client to source event marketing and promotional campaign gift items
Maintain accuracy and accountability of event budget, manage final billing and reconciliation
Ability to adapt to challenges and opportunities with a solution-oriented perspective|
Event Manager Qualifications:
Previous experience in Event Planning or Program Management
Ability to lead and direct teams to accomplish a variety of client needs
High-level communication skills
Ability to travel as required
Experience in full-cycle corporate event planning/detailing/execution
Experience in non-profit event management preferred
Strong team player
