Job summary

The Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) Engineer is responsible for the management and administration of Electric Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS) and Building Management Systems (BMS's). The ideal candidate will possess technology background that enables him/her to undertake sophisticated system platforms.

Responsibilities include ensuring DCIM systems are operating as designed to protect data center resources capture power usage calculate available capacity and provide meaningful timely alarms notifications reports end users. Configuration of DCIM system applications in support new data center deployments requirements data retrofits prepare maintain documentation test plans change records implement corporate policies procedures standards maximize performance networks administer power provisioning incident reporting processes field work coordination contractor supervision work efficiently independently applying analytical troubleshooting organization skills day-to-day operations closely with co-workers maintenance personnel project managers building managers engineers contractors inspections testing commissioning facility system required participate on-call duty providing off-hour emergency support lead maintenance modification controls equipment facilitate efficient operation ability work flexible hours travel other QTS facilities required.
