    Job Description:

    Do you have prior laboratory experience and a science background? Are you a detail-oriented, self-directed problem solver? If this sounds like you, come join our Laboratory Services team We are hiring for a Chemist 3 (Senior Chemist Cannabis Reference Laboratory) (CRL) position in our new Wilsonville lab.

    What you'll be doing

    • Leads the development and validation of new methods to meet changes in current best practices, technologies, regulatory framework, or customer needs.
    • Serves as an instrumentation expert for area's work in use of LC-QQQ, GC-QQQ, HPLC and other instruments.
    • Carry out extractions and prepare samples of various matrices for analysis of cannabis and cannabis products.
    • Experience in reviewing and quantifying of data generated from the instrumentation.
    • Prepare various standards and solutions as needed.
    • Maintain all relevant records and documentation.
    • Authors and reviews technical documents such as SOPs and work instructions.
    • Senior member of a team with focus on cannabis related analyses.
    • Performs other job-related tasks (within the scope of experience and training) as specified by the laboratory manager/director.

    Our Chemist 3 (Senior Chemist CRL) is a permanent full-time position, is based in Wilsonville, Oregon.

    Minimum qualifications:

    • Two years of experience independently performing analytical chemistry procedures which include designing, developing, and implementing analytical methods and procedures and a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry.

    OR

    Three additional years of pertinent experience may substitute for the bachelor's degree.

    • Demonstrated expertise in chemistry and chemical testing based on education and previous work experience in a laboratory conducting testing of samples.
    • Demonstrated expertise in analytical laboratory procedures, techniques, and scientific methods of measurement.
    • Working knowledge of regulatory and quality control guidelines related to testing and research, including cGMP and ISO/IEC
    • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external customers.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Demonstrate ethical and sound judgment.
    • Keen attention to detail, self-motivated, results driven, with the ability to think outside the box, focused on continuous improvement.
    • Ability to multi-task and work with flexibility in a fast-paced, ever-changing, and sometimes challenging environment.
