- Leads the development and validation of new methods to meet changes in current best practices, technologies, regulatory framework, or customer needs.
- Serves as an instrumentation expert for area's work in use of LC-QQQ, GC-QQQ, HPLC and other instruments.
- Carry out extractions and prepare samples of various matrices for analysis of cannabis and cannabis products.
- Experience in reviewing and quantifying of data generated from the instrumentation.
- Prepare various standards and solutions as needed.
- Maintain all relevant records and documentation.
- Authors and reviews technical documents such as SOPs and work instructions.
- Senior member of a team with focus on cannabis related analyses.
- Performs other job-related tasks (within the scope of experience and training) as specified by the laboratory manager/director.
- Two years of experience independently performing analytical chemistry procedures which include designing, developing, and implementing analytical methods and procedures and a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry.
- Demonstrated expertise in chemistry and chemical testing based on education and previous work experience in a laboratory conducting testing of samples.
- Demonstrated expertise in analytical laboratory procedures, techniques, and scientific methods of measurement.
- Working knowledge of regulatory and quality control guidelines related to testing and research, including cGMP and ISO/IEC
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external customers.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrate ethical and sound judgment.
- Keen attention to detail, self-motivated, results driven, with the ability to think outside the box, focused on continuous improvement.
