    Description

    Position: Electrical Engineer

    Reports to: Senior Director of Engineering

    Company Overview: A privately owned company is constructing a state-of-the-art vegetable oil refinery that will process sustainable palm, palm kernel, coconut, and soft oils to supply the food, cosmetics, and eco-fuel industries. The company aims to become a key player in refined and specialty oil products in the United States.

    Mission: To provide engineering expertise in designing, developing, and optimizing electrical, instrumentation, and control systems for the vegetable oils processing facility, ensuring reliability and efficiency.

    Requirements:

    Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Master's degree preferred.

    Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years in vegetable oils processing equipment, automation, and electrical systems.

    Languages: English, Spanish (preferred).

    Skills & Competencies:

    • Proficient in Rockwell Automation, Autocad, Plant 3D, project management tools, database management software, MS Office.
    • Proven vegetable oils processing experience.
    • Technical understanding of engineering blueprints and designs.
    • Strong understanding of electrical codes and safety standards.
    • Knowledge of chemical plant process equipment.

    Responsibilities:

    • Design and develop electrical, instrumentation, and control systems for the facility.
    • Oversee the installation and commissioning of electrical equipment, controls, and systems.
    • Collaborate with other engineers and teams to integrate electrical systems with other facility processes.
    • Develop and implement maintenance and troubleshooting strategies for electrical and control systems.
    • Ensure compliance with engineering standards, safety regulations, and environmental policies.
    • Implement energy-saving measures and sustainable practices in electrical designs.
    • Provide technical support and guidance to operational teams.
    • Stay updated with the latest electrical and control engineering technologies and practices relevant to the industry.
