Currently, we are focused on the Hanford Vit Plant, also known as the Waste Treatment and Immobilization Plant.This unique project is dedicated to transforming hazardous waste from past military activities into safe, manageable forms, thereby safeguarding the Columbia River and its surrounding ecosystems.
Our site is strategically located at the junction of three rivers and near mountain ranges, offering over 300 sunny days a year, extensive outdoor activities, and close proximity to major cities and cultural hubs.
Position Overview:
Direct Report:
Engineering Automation Supervisor
Key Responsibilities:
Provide support in the development, review, administration, testing, configuration, and implementation of data integration and management for a large Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) project.
Utilize expertise in 3D, P&ID, and related principles to integrate data with commercial software.
Work alongside IT, automation, and engineering teams to coordinate and support engineering authoring and integration tools.
Contribute to the creation and review of artifacts that illustrate data integration and management activities.
Facilitate training sessions for project users on engineering software and associated processes.
Manage tasks effectively within assigned budgets and schedules.
Basic Qualifications:
Proficient in CAD design and drafting techniques, engineering drawings, graphic arts, and reading/reproduction methods.
Experience with database systems including Microsoft Access, Oracle, and SQL Server.
Familiarity with integrating various data types across multiple systems.
Understanding of engineering/scientific systems, calculations, applications, and computer applications.
Awareness of industry and regulatory standards, design criteria, and codes.
Eligibility to obtain a Department of Energy badge for site access.
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical (if located on the construction site), and background check.
Educational and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in an engineering field or drafting/design, with at least 9 years of experience in piping design using 2D/3D CAD systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
Proficiency with Bentley OpenPlant, Smart3D, or other 3D CAD modeling software.
Experience in design production engineering.
Knowledge of ASME NQA-1 and DOE O 414.1C standards related to software quality and development.
Additional Benefits:
Long-term contract position with per diem, mobilization, and paid trips home.
