    Your Key Responsibilities Handle the design, simulation, and optimization of electric motors (eMotors). Evaluate and select electric machine architectures and topologies on thermal and electromagnetic characteristics. Design eMotors based on targeted cost and manufacturing processes. Apply electromagnetic physics principles to eMotor design. Model vibration characteristics of motors. Apply advanced knowledge of eMotor controls and measurements to simulate and correlate designs. Communicate results and recommendations verbally and in reports.


    Your QualificationsRequired:
    Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering related field and one (1) year of applicable experience. Ability to learn and apply mechanical, thermal, and electromagnetic principles to electric motor design. Applicable engineering & physics knowledge.


    Preferred:
    Experience designing electric machines in an academic and/or professional setting. Experience using Python and MATLAB/Simulink. Experience with finite element analysis (FEA) modelling software such as Ansys Maxwell, Ansys MotorCAD, JMAG, or FLUX.


    Our Offering Salary range:
    $75,000 - $120,000
