    RESPONSIBLE FOR:


    Maintains recommended standards for setassembly, decontamination, inspection, containerizing andsterilizing surgical instruments in an accurate and timely manner.
    Performs sterilization, assembly and storage of medical suppliesand equipment. Collaborates with the Perioperative Nursing staff toprovide sterile instrument sets, equipment and case carts in anaccurate and timely manner. Assists in maintaining consistent andcontinuous work flow, providing superior customerservice.

    Qualifications:

    MINIMUMEDUCATION REQUIRED:


    High School graduate orGED.

    MINIMUM EXPERIENCEREQUIRED:


    Certification as a Central SterileTech or 3 years of Central Sterile experiencerequired.

    MINIMUMLICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BYLAW:


    None.

    ADDITIONALQUALIFICATIONS:


    Central Service ProcessingTechnician Certification, OR Surgical Tech Certificationpreferred.
