    As a Registered Nurse in our Trans SeniorMental Health 6D Unit, you will work with complex medical histories, innovative surgical procedures, pain management, and nutritional support. Your key responsibilities will include:

    • Providing direct nursing care.
    • Monitoring, recording, and communicating patients' conditions.
    • Developing patient care plans.
    • Administering medications as prescribed.

    Responsibilities:

    • Provide direct nursing care following established protocols.
    • Implement and monitor patient care plans.
    • Coordinate interdisciplinary patient care efforts effectively.
    • Execute physician and nursing orders.
    • Assess and coordinate patient discharge planning.
    • Maintain professional growth through education and clinical study.
    • Perform other assigned duties.

    Education:

    • Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
    • BSN degree preferred.

    Certifications:

    • Current RN licensure.
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
    • Additional certifications vary based on specialty.

    Complexity of Work:

    • Requires critical thinking and the ability to work autonomously.
    • Must be able to handle stressful situations effectively.

    Work Experience:

    • External candidates need two years of recent nursing experience.
    • Internal candidates with less experience may be considered based on review.
    • Pass all competency assessments.
    • Military RN experience will be taken into account.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Full range of motion, including lifting and patient care.
    • Standing and walking for extended periods.
    • Normal vision and hearing capabilities.
    • Ability to work irregular hours in potentially stressful conditions.
    • Exposure to communicable diseases and bodily fluids.
    • Medium Work capacity.

    Personal Protective Equipment:

    • Follow standard precautions and use required PPE.
