- Stays current with medical advancements, new technology, new drugs through continuing education classes, society meetings, professional journals etc.

- Attends required departmental, organizational and medical staff committee meetings as appropriate.
- Assists with development and implementation of specific policies and procedures.
- Meets dress code standards; attire is professional, neat and clean.
- Completes annual educational requirements.
- Maintains regulatory requirements.
- Wears identification while on duty.
- Reports to work on time and as scheduled.
- Complies with all organizational policies regarding ethical business practices.
- Communicates the mission, ethics and goals of the facility.
- Current Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice Nurse License in the State of Maine. Master's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program. Master's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- National Certification as a Nurse Practitioner or certification eligible.
- Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS required.
- Current ACLS Certification preferred.
- Current PALS Certification preferred if caring for Pediatric patients.
- Current DEA with no restriction
- Strong computer skills, including EMR/EHR.
- Ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Additional languages preferred.

Position Summary:
The Nurse Practitioner is responsible for providing primary healthcare to patients and families, focusing on health maintenance, disease prevention, patient education and counseling.
Works according to Maine State Rules and Regulations following established Policies and Procedures as required and within established scope of practice.
Must be a friendly, energetic and team oriented person looking for a long term commitment. Proficient use of an EMR system, excellent communications skills and pediatric experience a plus.Duties and Responsibilities:
