    Job Overview
    Mayfly Outdoors is seeking CNC Machinists specializing in Metal products to join our dynamic crew

    As our CNC Machinist, you will work with a team dedicated to our mission and who take pride in the quality we deliver to the fly fishing world.

    As the CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for the ( this is not an all-inclusive job duty list):

    Machine high precision projects as well as reoccurring production jobs with the same attention to detail
    Understand and implement appropriate steps to reach production demands
    Complete machining operations from blueprints, drawings, verbal instructions, and models
    Set up, operate, and prove-out programs on a variety of equipment including, but not limited to CNC mill, CNC lathe, manual mill/lathe and all other typical machine shop equipment
    Use various measuring tools to perform first article and in process inspections (calipers, micrometers, height gage, etc.)
    Monitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining process.
    Complete basic edits/off-sets to maintain component accuracy, quality, and productivity.
    Maintain machine tools in proper operational condition.
    Deburr and clean parts as required.
    Operate basic shop equipment (band saw, grinders, etc.)
    Modify G-Code programs and adjust offsets as required to meet product conformity.
    Troubleshoot operating errors; partner with Engineering and maintenance to resolve issues.
    Evaluate experimental procedures and recommend changes or modifications for improved efficiency and production
    Program machines according to specs and/ or update processes launched.
    Work with the engineering team during new project launches, troubleshooting of product development and/or resolving machine function issues.
    Work with Quality Assurance and redefine process were guided to ensure quality productions guidelines are met
    Other duties as assigned


    Required Skills & Expectations:
    Ability to run multi-axis and multi-tasking programs
    Experience with wide variety of CNC machining, including MORIand Multis machinery
    Proficiency with typical precision measurement tools such as dial indicators, bore gauges, micrometers, calipers, and other common inspection tools
    Basic knowledge of cutting tools, as well as speeds and feeds for each, regardless of material type
    Desire to work collaboratively across several teams as needed to complete projects requiring multiple disciplines
    Strong communication skills and a desire to help achieve company goals in a dynamic and challenging environment
    Knowledge of work order-based processing (paper or digital copies) as directed by ERP software systems (Netsuite).

    Computer literacy in common software suites such as Microsoft Office or Google Suite Apps and adequately learn additional software programs as necessary to individual responsibilities.

    Communicate clearly and concisely with colleagues, management, engineers, and others.
    Lift and handle up to 50lbs infrequently.


    REQUIREMENTS:
    High school diploma or equivalency certificate
    2 years of professional experience running CNC Mills and lathes,
    2 years of professional experience reading G-code and programming CNC machines, preferred
    Available to work all required shift hours and be available to work overtime, as needed
    Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs.) unassisted
    Ability to perform job duties that require standing, kneeling, crouching, twisting upper body, working in cramped positions in small openings and climbing hand over hand
    Work performed in an environment requiring exposure to fumes, odors, and noise


    Job Classification:
    Hourly, Non-Exempt, Full time


    Wage Range:
    $17-$27.00


    Base Work Schedule:

    Monday - Friday Hours shifts, overtime may be required based on business needs ( Opportunity to move to 4/10s pending a successful completion of the first 90 day onboarding period).
