    ASRC Federal Agile Decision Sciences is a premier provider of systems engineering, software engineering, system integration and project management services for real-time, mission-critical defense systems.

    We are seeking highly motivated Electrical Engineers to support the development and sustainment of the U.S. Missile Defense Agency Ground-Based Midcourse Defense (GMD) anti-ballistic missile system project in Huntsville, AL.

    This position requires on-site work to be performed in Huntsville, AL. There are no remote work options.

    As GSS Electrical Engineer 3, you will support NGI Phase 1 development team efforts and work within an Agile environment.

    Your core tasks will entail the development electrical component design solutions.

    Under the direction of senior Electrical Engineers, responsibilities include supporting the development and defense of impact assessments, vetting design solutions through program boards/reviews, participating in proof-of-concept activities, and adhering to program procedures.

    Accountability and active participation in team scrum meetings and internal/external demos, and documenting progress on team dashboards is expected.

    Requirements
    US Citizenship is required
    Ability to obtain and maintain a US DoD Secret Security clearance is required
    BS in engineering and 5 Years of Experience. Or 3 Years of Experience and a Masters' degree within a STEM field
    Prior experience with the design, test, and/or integration and deployment of electrical components, electrical ground support equipment (EGSE), or subsystems
    Understanding and application of company electrical engineering technical standards; demonstrated electrical component design experience and impact assessment / DAR development exposure
    Technical expertise and working knowledge of other related discipline
    Must be able to meet GWS Firewall requirements
    Ability to travel at least 10%
    Must be able to support an in-person / closed-area work environment full time
    Preferred Qualifications
    BS in Electrical engineering preferred
    Active Secret Security Clearance, or higher
    Release of engineering documentation including technical drawings, specifications, and test procedure
    Burndown of nonconformances and/or root cause failure analysis of electronic systems
    Problem solving not only for technical issues, but also for schedule, cost, resource and other project challenges
    Mentoring and cross-training team members across a diverse set of technologies and electrical system architectures used to meet customer requirements
    Experience using analytical software tools, such as MATLAB or Python, to analyze and reduce data to identify key characteristics and trends
    LabVIEW programming and experience with National Instruments (NI) hardware and software products

    • LabVIEW FPGA development experience
    DOORS and/or CAMEO exposure
    Experience with classified test systems or systems subject to cyber security policies and risk management framework (RMF)
    Experience with telemetry systems
    Experience with mission critical and safety critical systems, components, connectors, cables, etc.
    Familiarity with Missile Defense Agency (MDA)

    Familiarity with the GMD domain and GMD Launch Support Systems hardware
