- Provides leadership, vision, direction, and support to Anschutz Internal Medicine Clinic
- Serves as the dyad partner for UCHealth Practice Manager
- Assesses needs, plans, and leads monthly clinic faculty meetings
- Provides quality control for scheduling, including yearly call schedule, vacation schedule, out-of-cycle vacation requests, and absence coverage
- Reviews and addresses patient and provider concerns/complaints
- Collaborates with Clinic Residency Director and medical student coordinators to ensure mutually-beneficial integration of educational needs and clinic operations
- Provides leadership and consultation to GIM Associate Division Head for Clinical Affairs regarding quality initiatives to include but not limited to NCQA, CPC , and other value-based programs
- Attends bi-monthly practice transformation meetings
- Participates in patient advisory group meetings
- Participates in interviewing and selecting new faculty
- Provides supervision for faculty in clinic, providing feedback or participating in PIP, and annual reviews in collaboration with Department/Division as needed
- Collaborates with Division Finance Administrator to evaluate supply of clinic hours
- Assures stewardship of additional clinic funding. (e.g. CPC and other clinic-designated value-based funds)

Job Summary:
In addition to maintaining at least a .3 clinical full time equivalent (cFTE) continuity panel at the Anschutz Internal Medicine Clinic, this open-rank clinician-educator faculty role will serve as the clinic's Medical Director.
This challenging and exciting opportunity allocates .4 FTE for this leadership position's duties of our largest and most complex internal medicine clinic that houses 30 faculty clinicians and 30 medical residents, serving 17,000 patients.
The role will work closely with GIM's Associate Division Head for Clinical Affairs and partner with many University and health system leaders.

The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE:

The approximate total annual compensation range for both levels (including a clinical time based, quality, and productivity-based incentive) is $220,000 - $240,000.
This position also receives an additional administrative stipend that ranges from $20, ,000 per annum.The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
This position is not eligible for overtime compensation.Your total compensation goes beyond the number on your paycheck. The University of Colorado provides generous leave, health plans and retirement contributions that add to your bottom line.
