    Summary Statement

    The Master Cook (Fine Dining) will be responsible for supporting the production kitchen chefs and assisting with supporting kitchen staff. This position works on all stations within the kitchen, conducts product inventories, ensures the preparation and quality are to outlet standards, and fulfilling job responsibilities to support the department and maximize opportunities for success.     Job Duties:

    Primary Job Duties: Includes but, is not limited to:

    • Actively contributes to kitchen and outlet performance.
    • Ensures that applicable internal policies, federal and state laws, rules, regulations are adhered to within the department.
    • Maintain sanitation procedures and organization of work area adhering to all OSHA regulations.
    • Maintaining food quality and ensuring guest satisfaction.
    • Maintaining food presentation quality at all times, having detailed and delicate cooking techniques and plating capabilities.
    • Ability to multi-task and completing deadlines on time, all while in stressful and high-pressure situations
    • Assists the Chef as needed in execution of production or specific tasks.
    • Maintains accurate inventories, while communicating with management of restocking needs to prevent product shortages and/or running out during service
    • Produces food of high quality according to standard recipes.
    • Attends and participates in daily briefings or pre-shifts.
    • Ensures team members adhere to Resorts World Company guidelines as stated in team member training manual and employee handbook.
    • Keeps informed of all new developments within the department.
    • Promotes a cooperative work climate, maximizing productivity and morale.
    • Maintains relevant knowledge of industry through continuing education and training.
    • Other duties as assigned.
    Qualifications:

    Competencies:

    • Ability to translate recipes into dishes.
    • Excellent knife skills.
    • Ability to effectively communicate in English.
    • Excellent customer service skills.
    • Ability to obtain & maintain full knowledge and understanding of company and department rules and regulations, policies and procedures.
    • Ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
    • At least 18 years of age.

    Minimum Education and Experience:

    • Previous similar position experience in a hospitality establishment.
    • Previous experience in a large, luxury resort setting.
    • Experience in Asian cooking.
    • Additional languages.
    • At least two years of leadership/management experience in a similar or related field.

    Preferred:

    • High school degree or equivalent preferred.
    • Degree in Culinary Arts or a related field education or experience.
    • Previous similar position experience in a hospitality establishment.
    • Previous experience in a large, luxury resort setting.
    • Experience in Asian cooking.
    • Hotel opening experience is a distinct advantage.

    Certificates, Licenses, Regulations:

    • Food Safety Certification.
    • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
