    Job DescriptionSalary: $16-$22 per hour DOE

    Atlas Surveying, Inc. is an industry-leading professional land surveying firm with offices in Savannah/Hilton Head, Charleston, Charlotte and Greenville/Spartanburg. We use conventional tools, robots, and drones to conduct surveys and perform certifications, and to provide real-time GPS and aerial mapping. We serve real estate developers, and construction, architectural and engineering firms in the public and private sectors.

    We need a high-energy individual to join our fast-paced team in the role of Department Coordinator. The right candidate will manage day-to-day business, financial, and administrative activities for our Bluffton office. The department coordinator is supportive to leadership, department managers, field supervisors and cad technicians within their department. This role will administratively manage projects from start to finish and work in tandem with field supervisors and survey managers to assure the administrative and billing portions are completed efficiently. The role is responsible, within defined scope, for the day-today administrative operations of the department.

    Essential Functions & Basic Responsibilities:

    • Represent Atlas with clients in coordination with Field Supervisors and CAD Leaders.
    • Coordinate with managers to create pre-qualifying submittals and vendor registration.
    • Complete and respond to incoming survey requests.
    • Assist in preparation of Project Proposals.
    • Lead and attend Weekly Department Meetings.
    • Monitor billable time and project stats.
    • Provide management or administrative assistance to Department Head as requested.
    • Prepare and issue client invoices.
    • Perform accounts receivable and pursue collections efforts.
    • Administer quarterly truck inspections for your department.
    • Input records and maintain fleet files for department specific trucks.
    • Create monthly report for tracking of Project Performance.
    • Provide back-up support to other locations as needed.
    • Develop additional knowledge and experience specific to the industry.
    • Consistent updates on billboard for field/cad schedules, billing/collections and KPI's.
    • Maintain positive working relationships with department staffs and customers
    • Perform additional as-needed duties as assigned by Manager

    Qualifications & Key Skills:

    • Previous work in a related industry (i.e., commercial or residential real estate development, construction, professional surveying or architectural firm) a plus.
    • At least five years of progressive administrative and supervisory experience.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills

    Physical Requirements:

    While performing this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, talk and hear. The employee may occasionally, bend, stoop, and reach, and lift or move up to 25 pounds. The work is primarily in an office setting. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is moderate.
