Responsibilities
- Lead daily classroom activities, ensuring a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment for preschool children.
- Design and implement creative lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, physical education, and social skills development.
- Foster positive behavior management strategies to promote respectful interactions and emotional regulation among students.
- Collaborate with families to communicate children's progress, developmental milestones, and any special needs or interventions required.
- Support children with special education needs through tailored instructional strategies and early intervention techniques.
- Maintain accurate documentation of student progress, assessments, and individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and classroom aides to ensure high-quality instruction and classroom management.
Skills
- Strong background in curriculum development with experience in Montessori methods or other early childhood pedagogies.
- Proven ability to work effectively with children across various age groups, including toddlers and preschoolers.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management techniques, and child welfare practices.
- Experience with classroom management, lesson planning, and implementing standardized testing or assessments when applicable.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with families, staff, and external specialists such as speech therapists or special educators.
- Familiarity with early intervention strategies and supporting children with diverse learning needs.
- Competence in teaching physical education activities and integrating literacy education into daily routines.
