    Overview


    This position is responsible for analysis of highly complex aspects of technology asset management tracking, analysis, and reporting within the Information Technology (IT) department of the Bank.

    Develops, maintains, and improves upon asset management governance, standards, procedures, plans, controls, and operating metrics to achieve operational objectives. Evaluates current practices, collects information and industry trends, and creates specifications to support business initiatives. Develops and implements process improvements. May provide a leadership role for the work group through knowledge of IT asset management.

    Responsibilities

    Managing key relationships with peer roles within the enterprise. This includes Business Application Owners, Service Catalogue Manager and Procurement representatives.
    Managing the day-to-day activities of the process.
    Review new software requests to ensure license availability.

    Ensuring quality of software asset records within the Asset Management Repository, including Software Discovery Models, Software Product Models and Software Entitlements.

    Escalating any issues with the process to the SAM Process Owner.
    Track, reconcile, and monitor software inventory and utilization, harvest licenses where applicable.
    Resolving unmatched or partially normalized Software Discovery Models.
    Researching licensing models, product use rights, as well as licensing metrics and entitlements for vendor published software assets.
    Work with internal teams to streamline and automate request process, procurement, and deployment of software.
    Identify opportunities for cost savings, cost avoidance, software reuse, and software consolidation.
    Analyze purchase records and other entitlement information including contracts.
    Periodically validate the IT asset repository data accuracy and investigate discrepancies.
    Create and update software license entitlements agreements, models, and catalog information as well as reconciling software normalization.
    Validate software discovery inventory and license compliance related reports.

    Aid in the monitoring of controls in the process by which software assets are requested, purchased, and delivered to the end user.

    Provides various reports, including dashboards to measure inventory, process efficiencies, and end user satisfaction.
    Collecting data and reporting on the effectiveness of the software asset management processes.
    Identifying requirements to modify SAM processes.
    Participating in the remediation of non-compliant software installations.
    Determining if available entitlements can be allocated prior to initiating procurement activities.
    Analyzing software asset data and creating reports.
    Analyzing reconciliation reports to determine required actions to address non-compliant software installations.
    Executing reconciliation by comparing entitlements with discovered software installations to determine effective license positions for each in-scope publisher.
    Working with Software Asset Management team to publish authorized software in Service Catalogue for end-user request and subsequent fulfilment.
    Analyzing software usage reports and establishing removal rules for infrequently used software.
    Perform on going analysis of CMDB Health Metrics to resolve issues and identify improvements.
    Mentoring and educating teammates on SAM processes and procedures
    Assisting with SAM audits
    Determine corrective actions for data integration errors.
    Facilitate the collection of license entitlements.
    Providing requirements, use cases, user stories, etc. to support new or improving SAM functionality.

    The base pay for this position is relative to your experience but the range is generally $66,975 to $116,090 per year.

    This position is eligible for variable compensation, which may be in the form of incentive, bonus, or commission pay.

    Qualifications

    Bachelor's Degree and 3 years of experience in System Support or Analytics OR High School Diploma or GED and 7 years of experience in System Support or Analytics

    Ability to manage projects and report on status.
    Experience working in an Agile environment
    Experience with ServiceNow Software Asset Management Professional Utah +
    Experience with ServiceNow Request and Procurement Utah +
    Experience with IT Software Asset Management
    Experience with interpreting license contracts end user license agreements, terms and conditions.
    Experience in hardware configurations and software installation processes.
    Experience with Discovery Tools (ServiceNow Discovery, SCCM, InTune, JAMF).
    Experience with creating Dashboards and reporting in ServiceNow.
    Excellent verbal and written communication skills; troubleshooting & analytical skills; and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
    Proven organizational and time-management skills, including prioritizing multiple tasks
    Strong analytical skills showing attention to detail with a strong customer focus
    Excellent developing and delivering presentation skills
