    Department Overview
    The Division of Surgical Oncology focuses on the surgical management of tumors and especially cancerous tumors.

    Our faculty operate within the OHSU Knight Cancer Institute and are recognized as international leaders in personalized medicine, diagnostics and cancer research.

    Function/Duties of Position

    Participate in education of residents, interns, and medical students assigned to the Division of Surgical Oncology; participate in administrative committees and councils as approved by the Chair; contribute to department administration as assigned by the Chair; establish and maintain a program of scholarly activity directed toward improved understanding of the causes, prevention, detection and treatment of breast diseases.

    Participate in competitive clinical and basic or translational research. Participate in Surgical Oncology coverage and other clinical activities of the University Hospital.

    Clinical activities may include breast surgical services and leadership opportunities at OHSU community partner site of Hillsboro Medical Center and the OHSU Knight Cancer Beaverton Community Oncology location.

    Contribute to the administration of the department as assigned by the Chairman. Participate in administrative committees and councils as approved by the Chairman.

    In connection with academic responsibilities (teaching and research), the appointee is expected to engage in clinical activities at OHSU Hospitals and Clinics.

    This position requires undivided effort at the specified FTE level.
    Required Qualifications

    • The successful candidate will have completed fellowship training in breast surgical oncology.
