Front Desk Agent / Night Auditor

Comfort Inn & Suites – Arkansas

Part-Time | Non-Exempt

Position Overview

If you take pride in delivering exceptional guest service while ensuring financial accuracy and operational excellence, we invite you to join our team at Comfort Inn & Suites I-540.

This dual-role position is responsible for providing outstanding guest service while maintaining accurate daily financial reporting through nightly audit procedures. The ideal candidate is professional, detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable working independently during overnight hours.

Shift Availability & Scheduling

This position may require coverage of the following shifts:

  • AM Shift: 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
  • PM Shift: 3:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.
  • Night Audit (NA): 11:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.

Employees are typically assigned a fixed primary shift based on business needs. However, cross-coverage outside of the primary shift may be required to support operational demands, staffing coverage, or special circumstances.

Weekend and holiday availability is required.

Night Audit Differential:

Night Audit shifts (11:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.) may include an additional hourly shift differential. Specific pay details will be discussed during the interview process.

Key Responsibilities:

Guest Service & Front Desk Operations

  • Provide a warm, professional welcome to all guests in accordance with brand standards.
  • Process check-ins and check-outs accurately and efficiently.
  • Manage reservations, room assignments, and rate adjustments.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to guest inquiries and concerns.
  • Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Maintain front desk organization and lobby presentation.
  • Answer multi-line phone system and manage walk-in and online reservations.
  • Support loyalty enrollment and applicable upsell opportunities.

Night Audit Responsibilities

  • Complete nightly audit procedures accurately and on time.
  • Reconcile daily revenue, guest folios, credit card transactions, and cash deposits.
  • Post room charges, taxes, and applicable fees.
  • Identify and resolve billing discrepancies.
  • Prepare and distribute daily financial and operational reports.
  • Ensure property security and guest safety during overnight hours.
  • Document shift activity and communicate key information to management.

Performance Expectations

  • Maintain high guest satisfaction through consistent service delivery.
  • Ensure accuracy in nightly audit reconciliation and financial reporting.
  • Demonstrate reliability, punctuality, and accountability.
  • Support hotel revenue and operational goals.
  • Maintain compliance with brand and company standards at all times.

Qualifications

  • Previous hotel front desk experience preferred.
  • Night audit or basic accounting experience preferred.
  • Experience with hotel property management systems (Choice Advantage preferred).
  • Strong computer proficiency and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to work overnight shifts as scheduled.

Additional Duties

The responsibilities outlined above are not all-inclusive. Team members may be required to perform additional duties as needed to support daily operations and ensure exceptional guest service.
