    Role description:

    This is a senior Technical Management position within the Power Delivery unit of Arcadis. The position requires candidate to work within a multi-disciplinary team for engineering, design and project management. He/she will participate in project engineering and project management from proposal development, engineering detail design, procurement, construction of the project. The Project Engineering Manager will coordinate and oversees the project planning, engineering design, and execution of projects. He/she will take part on project management roles, coordinating the activities of engineering design, proposal, and construction management.

    This position is accountable to provide project management and design activities in accordance with all applicable codes and standards, including all of Arcadis's policies and procedures, such as Safety, Environmental, Quality Assurance and Quality Control. The incumbent will also work closely with other Power Delivery departments, including the Substation Engineering, Transmission Engineering, Protection & Control Engineering, Distribution and EV Technology and the Renewables teams, as well as with other Arcadis business divisions and sectors.

    As the successful candidate, you will:
    • Manager all disciplines serve as a Project Engineer/Project Manager and mentor to staff.
    • Responsible for overseeing the project development and implementation of engineering designs and evaluating and approving changes that may affect the scope, budget, and completion of a project
    • Preparing of proposals (technical scope, level of effort and cost estimates)
    • Perform other essential tasks, including monitoring the project's progress and performance, developing maintenance plans, and preparing expenditure reports.
    • Delivery of accurate and thorough designs that will meet industry standards and specifications and meet good engineering practice with excellent constructability.
    • Review of internal and external designs for code compliance, good design practice and constructability.
    • Maintaining project documentation with respect to substation design and construction, including completion packages, as-built requirements and return data information.
    • Work closely with senior-level project managers to gain additional project management experience for more complex and larger projects
    • Maintaining close coordination with other relevant Arcadis Business Units and Practices for cross selling and cross staffing opportunities.
    You bring to the role:
    • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in electrical or civil engineering
    • Minimum of 15 years of experience in Project Engineering and or Project Management
    • Direct Substation and/or Transmission Electrical or Civil engineering & design is most preferred.
    • PE and PMP licenses/certification are preferred.
    • Familiarity with utility industry standards and practices to include NEC, NESC, NEMA, IEEE, and ANSI, and have advanced knowledge of Transmission & Substation design practices
    • Must able to coordinate with multiple team and discipline members and develop/mentor new staffs and young professionals.
    • Must have excellent communication skills, oral and written.
    • Ability to travel up to 20% and work outside normal hours of operation.
