    **Are you ready to join an exciting and rapidly growing business litigation and corporate boutique law firm in the heart of New York City? We are seeking a talented and experienced paralegal to be a crucial part of our dynamic team. The Paralegal's primary goal is to support our Attorneys by assisting with legal research, drafting memos, pleadings, motions, and orders, and preparing for hearings and trials, under the direction of one or more Attorneys in the office.**

    Responsibilities:

    Keep the legal team on track, ensuring cases progress smoothly throughout the lifetime of the matter

    Case management and coordination of the administrative aspects of our cases, ensuring everything runs smoothly and maintain accurate client records in the Case Management System

    Assist with filings in both state and federal court, making sure all deadlines are met

    Ensure calendar deadlines and case milestones are added to the firm's master calendar in the Case Management System and ensure no deadlines are missed

    Review upcoming daily, weekly, and monthly appointments, court appearances and tasks to prioritize workload

    Triage client communications to follow up via phone and email as required

    Contemporaneously enter billable time into the Case Management System

    Perform case work including:

    • Organize, sort, and summarize case information and files
    • Draft letters, reports and first draft documents for attorney review
    • Prepare legal documents for meetings/ depositions/ hearings
    • Prepare discovery and responses to discovery demands
    • Perform legal research, draft discovery motions and drafts of pleadings

    Experience:

    4 years minimum experience required. Strong preference for those with experience at a firm with business litigation practice area.

    Salary Range and Benefits:

    $68,000 - $86,000 based on experience

    Work Hours:

    Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM EST with a one-hour break for lunch, providing you with a structured schedule to balance work and personal commitments.

    This full-time position offers a unique opportunity for growth and development in a predominantly virtual setting, with occasional in-person meetings or duties that require delivery of legal documents or in person filing.
