    Job DescriptionAttends Clinical Development Initiative oversight meeting or meetings with physician service groups as requested by Manager.

    Facilitate physician completion of queries which were not addressed during the hospital stay or are being made retrospectively by Health Information Management (HIM) or outside agencies.

    Assesses physician concurrent documentation query response through closed chart review / Online Transcription Information System (OTIS) and enters findings into relational database.

    Performs appropriate analyses of query and documentation patterns/trends. Identifies actual or potential issues and reports findings to CDI manager.
    Participates in Physician/Nurse Practioner education regarding documentation and changes in coding / CDI requirements.


    Qualifications:


    QualificationsBachelors degree in Business Administration, Health Services Research, or a related field or equivalent experience in coding, chart review or medical record keeping is required.

    Two years experience working in coding, chart review, and/or medical record keeping in a healthcare setting is required. Coding experience preferred.
