Job summary
As a human service agency and Supported Living Program Community Integrated Services CIS is committed to serving adults with developmental disabilities and behavioral issues—and helping them thrive Many of the individuals CIS serves are challenged by severe behavioral and mental health issues Enhance the coordination of supports available to clients including Health safety Increase the provision of support to all houses as directed Be responsible for taking action when the on-call or program coordinator contacts you during your scheduled shift to give directives as to what is needed and where to go Communicate regularly with Program Managers for the houses you support regarding client issues and DSP interactions Communicate regularly with Managers regarding health and safety issues for houses as assigned Attend monthly house team meetings where recently supported and attend weekly meetings with program managers to discuss issues Follow the developed Individual Instruction and Support Plan IISP Positive Behavior Support Plan PBSP Exceptions to Policy ETP and any restrictive or Crisis Intervention Response Procedures crisis plans Assignments involve work of a confidential or complex nature necessitating exposure to sensitive information and contacts requiring considerable discretion judgment tact diplomacy Shift will require at least one weekend day per week Fill in shifts as needed to cover houses e g while another staff takes a client to a medical appointment callouts break coverage etc Review client documentation for completion accuracy Review client meds for expiration dates need for ordering refills etc Schedule fire drills for houses observe client employee responses Other duties as assigned Benefits Paid Community Residential Services Training Generous medical dental vision life insurance benefits Supplemental Colonial insurance options Free Employee Assistance Program access financial services legal assistance family caregiving resources referrals mental health counseling services live-connect online help monthly wellness informational webinars Hard-working employees are also provided additional incentives regular basis Employee Referral Bonus program Monthly mileage reimbursement 401k retirement plan eligible full-time employees FREE Long Term Disability plan employees Generous PTO starting at hours every hour worked matures length service Job Types Full-time Part-time On-Call nights weekends flexible Keywords Home Care Long Term Care Worker CNA HHA Caregiver disability developmental disabilities Certified nursing assistant Home Health Aide homecare aide Home Health Aide CIS Community Integrated Services night companionship Nursing Student Nurse Extern assisted living supported living companion Homemaker Social Services certified nursing aide Certified aide healthcare assistant Social Justice Healthcare Nurses Aide Advocate home care assistant Rewarding Companion Care Requirements Minimum years experience human service field Education can substituted some experience Must highly organized flexible service oriented professional leadership skills Demonstrated proficiency fundamental concepts principals practices related working behaviorally challenged adults CNA HCA NAC Proven leadership skills previous employments preferred
