    The Role: Lead Infrastructure Security Engineer

    We are on the lookout for a seasoned and passionate security leader to take on the critical role of Lead Infrastructure Security Engineer—a position that merges traditional infrastructure security with protocol-level cryptographic assurance.

    You will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring security across our cloud-native and on-chain systems, collaborating closely with protocol engineers, DevOps, and product teams to maintain security throughout all layers. Additionally, you will play a key role in building and mentoring a premier security team while establishing scalable security practices across the organization.

    What You'll Be Doing

    • Develop and implement security strategies across both infrastructure and protocol layers.
    • Verify secure implementation of cryptographic protocols through hands-on review and testing.
    • Work closely with engineering, DevOps, and protocol teams to enhance our security posture.
    • Conduct comprehensive threat modeling, design reviews, and architecture assessments.
    • Build and lead a high-performing security team.
    • Oversee vulnerability management, detection, and incident response.
    • Establish and maintain rigorous engineering and security processes.
    • Educate and mentor the wider team on secure development practices.

    What We're Looking For

    • A deep passion for promoting privacy, freedom, and security.
    • Strong expertise in infrastructure and protocol security.
    • Experience in leading or managing technical security teams.
    • Proven ability to work with cloud infrastructure, distributed systems, and cryptographic protocol layers.
    • Hands-on experience with threat modeling, penetration testing, intrusion detection, and forensics.
    • Familiarity with programming languages such as Rust, C++, or Golang (Rust preferred).
    • Comfortable in a fast-paced, open-source, decentralized tech environment.
    • Fluent in written and spoken English.

    Bonus Points For:

    • Experience in blockchain or zero-knowledge proof-based systems.
    • Familiarity with Solidity and secure smart contract development.
    • A track record of publishing research or public vulnerability reports.
