    Summary About the Position:
    This position is located at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD.

    CECOM G8 business hours will be between 7am-6pm (Team Leads are expected to work their duty hours during that 11-hour period).

    This is a telework eligible position according to CECOM policy. Responsibilities As a financial analyst, is knowledgeable in the concepts, principles, laws and regulations of budgeting and accounting.

    Provides analysis of Communications-Electronics Command (CECOM) financial resources, as directed by the Chief Financial Accounting Division, Payroll Branch Chief and Team Leads.

    Maintains and manages automated and manual systems for receiving and processing reports and documents received from Defense Payroll Office.

    Prepares reports and maintains records of work accomplishments and administrative information, as required, and coordinates the preparation, presentation, and communication of work-related information to the supervisor.

    Processes remedy tickets for all pay problems. Notifies financial system help desk to resolve complex issues.

    Reviews the execution of automated processes to ensure compliance with established pay laws, regulations, and procedures, for a segment of the overall DCPS Program.

    Prepares statistical data for comparison/trend analysis purposes and provides data to supervisor for briefing of staff officers. Researches and analyzes data and consolidates input for response to Inspector General (IG) complaints.

    You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:

    Grade Requirement:

    Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).

    Education Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.

    You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct deposit of pay is required. Selection is subject to restrictions resulting from Department of Defense referral system for displaced employees.
