    SALARY/


    BENEFITS:
    $17-$20/hourly dependent on experience. After meeting eligibility requirements, full-time
    employees may join TLD's health coverage plan, accrue paid leave and access a 401(k) retirement plan.


    FULL TIME:
    35-40 hours/week.

    8:00am-4:00pm Monday – Saturday availability. Reports to Assistant Manager.


    MISSION:
    The Loading Dock, Inc. (TLD) redirects useable materials from the waste-stream and redistributes them low-cost
    to the community. "You could build a house with what people throw away"


    ORGANIZATIONAL OVERVIEW:
    TLD is a 45,000 square foot warehouse full of new and used building materials
    that are sold to the public. We are located in SE Baltimore City near Highland town. TLD is the nation's first successful,
    self-sustaining non-profit building materials reuse center, founded in 1984

    POSITION GOALS:
    1) open/close store, 2) providing leadership in maintaining store procedures and product marketing
    3) foster effective communications with clients in person and across social media platforms.

    QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
    Bachelors, Associates and/or equivalent work experience, ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in a warehouse
    environment - inside/outside (hot & cold, dusty), loud heavy equipment, and prior cash handling experience are required.

    Required skills:
    strong communication skills, verbal and written; the ability to follow through detailed procedures; cash
    management/cashiering

    in retail. Experience in

    construction/building

    materials industry is helpful.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Cashiering/Administration
    Count in and out processes completed correctly.
    Professional and courteous client service on the Sales Floor, throughout check-out process, and in all client
    communications.
    Maintenance of accurate cashier records including: FileMaker coding checks, Membership, cashier logs, and
    troubleshooting credit card processing issues.
    Neat, clean, and organized Cashier's Stations (all) including shelves in back and front.
    Communication with Floor Staff about Sold/Hold items, daily checks on Hold/Sold binder & phone messages.
    Scheduled bathroom cleaning.
    Product Management
    Weekly Features preparations and sign placement.
    Inventory, research, and pricing of individual donations.
    Organization and maintenance of product sections.

    Marketplace:
    keeping an up-to-date inventory that matches what is on the sales floor, adding specialty items.
    Support Floor Staff by making signs for product as needed, continued updates and warehouse walks to ensure accuracy.
    Project & Planning
    Weekly Meeting with Assistant Manager to discuss both ongoing projects and upcoming tasks.
    Daily communication with Floor Staff about supporting projects with displays, signs, organization.
    Supervision of volunteer projects in warehouse.
    Evaluation, feedback, and improvement of current procedures, signage, and processes.
