Insight Global is seeking a customer-oriented Mainframe Operations Engineer to support a Data Center Operational Maintenance program for a federal customer.

The client is in need of candidates that are open to occasional travel onsite to support the mainframes in Martinsburg, WV or Memphis, TN.

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor's degree and 14 years of experience (experience can be in lieu of education)
• Experience with mainframes (Unisys 2200/OS 2200, MASM, or IBM), storage management, and configuration management
• Knowledge of the planning and implementation practices of configuration management
• Knowledge of complex data center operations best practices
• Knowledge and experience with the configuration and operations of large disk and virtual tape storage (Dell EMC VMAX/PowerMax and DLm)

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Experience with client consulting in a mission critical data center environment
• Experience implementing Disaster Recovery (DR) and Alternate Site Processing (ASP) procedures
• Experience managing a team of IT engineers
