    Clearance:
    Active DoD Secret Clearance

    Work Schedule:
    Onsite Daily

    Role Overview:
    Support the infrastructure and network operation by responding appropriately to alerts and events. Support incident resolution, ensuring appropriate response to escalations. Help coordinate infrastructure repairs including directing remote activities to ensure continuity for service delivery. Review root cause analysis documentation to address performance management and incident correlation issues. Provide data center support where appropriate.

    Participate in daily shift activities and document in appropriate reporting and ticketing tools and ensure continuity for any outstanding issues.

    Provide incident notification to Government representatives.

    General SkillsetExperience with Microsoft OfficeVerbal and written communication skillsAbility to work both collaboratively and individuallyCritical Thinking SkillsAbility to give presentations and briefings as neededSpecific SkillsetAdvanced Routing and Switching:

    A strong understanding of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, etc.) and switching technologies (VLANs, trunking, QoS, etc.) is essential for designing, implementing, and troubleshooting enterprise networks.


    Network Automation:
    Familiarity with scripting languages like Python, Bash, and Ansible is becoming increasingly important for automating routine network tasks and improving operational efficiency

    Security:
    In-depth knowledge of network security concepts and best practices, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and access control lists (ACLs), is crucial for protecting networks from cyberattacks

    Network Monitoring and Troubleshooting:
    The ability to effectively monitor network performance, identify and diagnose problems, and implement solutions quickly is critical for maintaining network uptime and performance

    Cloud Networking:
    Understanding of cloud networking technologies and services, such as AWS VPC, Azure VNET, and Google Cloud VPC, is becoming increasingly important as more organizations adopt cloud-based solutions

    SDN and NFV:

    Familiarity with Software-Defined Networking (SDN) and Network Functions Virtualization (NFV) technologies is valuable for organizations looking to improve network agility and efficiency.

    RequirementsEducation & CertificationsBachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferredCompTIA Security +Have two or more of the following:

    Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA); Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) preferred; Cisco Certified Design Professional (CCDP); Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS); Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA)Experience Requirements4+ Years of relevant work experienceExperience supporting a large network operations centerBuild your career with usLinchpin Solutions' professional services organization is committed to delivering qualified candidates that meet or exceed clients' technical and management expectations.
