As a Property Accountant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of our properties, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and contributing to the overall success of the organization.

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Manage the full cycle accounting process for a portfolio of residential properties, including but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, and month-end close procedures
    • Perform bank reconciliations, review general ledger accounts, and prepare financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards
    • Collaborate with property managers and leasing teams to track and analyze property performance, including budget variances and financial forecasts
    • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and quarterly reforecasts, providing insights and recommendations to optimize financial outcomes
    • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including tax filings and reporting requirements
    • Support internal and external audits by providing accurate and timely financial data and documentation
    • Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency enhancements within the accounting function

    Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
    • 3 years of experience in property accounting or real estate finance
    • Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (Yardi, MRI)
    • Strong analytical skills with keen attention to detail
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
