    Job Description

    Title: Level II Quality Technician

    Reports to: Quality & Safety Manager

    Job Purpose: Responsible for the final inspection of manufactured parts and providing support to the machinists throughout the inspection process.

    Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
    • Review customer contract requirements and compare to manufacturing documentation to ensure customer obligations are identified and met.
    • Complete first article, in-process and final inspections on manufactured product to customer requirements utilizing calibrated equipment.
    • Calibrate and maintain the precision measuring devices per defined work instructions and ensure that the calibration due dates for employee, customer provided, and/or company owned equipment are current
    • Review and complete all documentation required for shipping of product to the customer, thus certifying that all requirements are met.
    • Assist in training fellow employees in order to further the development of the workforce
    • Review customer specifications to establish correct inspection criteria
    • Develop, maintain, and generate CMM programs per customer specifications
    • Perform preventative maintenance on inspection equipment
    • Completes all job-related paperwork and production reporting to accurately record time and attendance and inventory
    • Maintains an organized, clean and safe work area using 6S guidelines and safety standards
    • Complies with all safe practices, policies, and regulations
    • Perform other duties as assigned or requested
    Qualifications
    • High school diploma or GED required
    • Minimum of 4 years experience in Quality Control or Machining
    • Knowledge of manufacturing methods and logistics administration required
    • Firsthand knowledge of blueprint reading including an advanced understanding of GD&T and military specifications
    • Lean manufacturing and quality system experience preferred (ISO 9001:2015, ISO 13485, and AS9100D preferred)
    • CMM operation/programming skills are required; Zeiss Calypso preferred
    • Basic computer knowledge and a strong math background
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Experience in Microsoft Office Suite
    • Team player who enjoys challenging situations
