    Job description:
The Permanente Medical Group has an opening for a Sr. Business Analyst with at least 6+ years of IT experience and Healthcare domain experience.

    Top Desired Skills:

    Most important:
This person needs to be a self-starter, go getter and hungry to learn more about their product.

This role has been backfilled multiple times for the same reason which is that the BA was an order taker and would not think outside the box or have the desire to learn more and take initiative.

This is vital to this role.

    • 5+ years' experience as a Business Analyst in an Agile environment
    • Experience with Jira and MS Office
    • Experience working with a video platform (any is fine, can even be experience with FaceTime) If someone has Zoom experience that would be ideal. If they came from Zoom that would be awesome.
    • Experience running Scrum Meetings and writing User Stories
    • Experience in an Enterprise type environment
    Nice to have:

    • Video platform experience
    • Mobile application experience.
The Permanente Medical Group is the for-profit group of Healthcare IT. The NorCal PMG is the only group in the federation with The Technology Group (TTG).

This person will be supporting their Video Visits product which is a patient and doctor facing product that allows patient visits to happen virtually.

They will also be supporting a new product which will be Groups and Classes that they will start to offer for their patients.

Some will be interactive and some not. They use Zoom as their video platform.

The role involves gathering requirements, running Scrum Meetings, writing User Stories, system integrations, working with design management teams, working with offshore developers and QA.

The most important thing though will be building relationships with the stakeholders across Northern CA to understand more about the product and feedback on the product.

This person will work closely with their team's Product Manager and has the opportunity to become a great partner with him.

*This person must be a self-starter and very passionate about their work. Needs to be an excellent relationship builder and communicator. Other BA's haven't worked out because they did not have the hunger to learn more about the product and think outside the box. They'd like to see someone who reviews tickets to understand themes of what's not working, seek out feedback from their users and is overall a problem solver and not an order taker.

    Employee Value Proposition (EVP):

TPMG is a profitable medical group on the forefront of healthcare innovations. Long term assignment. Remote, but will need to be onsite once/month for a team meeting. Candidates are typically out there 4+ years. Very stable group with good work/life balance. People really enjoy working for TPMG and we have placed multiple Consultants in this group and others. Manager is not a micro manager and gives autonomy to her team.

    Work Environment:

Team of 5, Agile and self starter type team. Remote, but must be located in the Bay and able to go onsite once/month.

    Business Drivers/Customer Impact:

This team supports the Video Visits product which is the doctor and patient facing product that allows for patient visits.

They are also expanding into a new product to offer Virtual Groups and Classes.

Both are to enhance their patient and doctor experience and allow for a both to have options and more access to care.
