    Description
    High School Assistant Football Coach

    School of the Osage, in partnership with our students, families. and community will equip all learners to meet their maximum potential for a lifetime of success.

    Type of Position: High School Assistant Football Coach; teaching assignment to be determined

    Category: Certified

    Reports to: Building Principal or Activities Director

    Degrees required or preferred:Certified Teacher

    Performance Expectations:
    1. General knowledge of coaching techniques and procedures
    2. Responsible for developing the skills of individual players and assist them to gain fitness in areas of defensive or offensive play, or goalkeeping
    3. Plan and supervise practices
    4. Assist in selection of equipment and instructional materials
    5. Maintain a current inventory of all fixed assets within the program
    6. Plan and coordinate football schedules and prepare weekly game reports in conjunction with the Activities Director
    7. Notify transportation director of travel arrangements

    3. Encourage, by example and through instruction, sportsmanlike conduct in all phases of athletic participation
    4. Motivate players to do their best and ensure that the team is following the tactics and issued instructions to maintain momentum

    An individual who holds this position must have the ability to: Speak and hear in an environment where numerous conversations and activities may be taking place simultaneously, move around the classroom, read handwritten or printed material. The individual will be required to work outdoors including for the purpose of performing such tasks as loading and unloading students from district transportation, occasionally supervising recess, and lift objects up to 50 lbs.
