    Job Title: Maintenance Technician/Maintenance Mechanic (1st shift)

    Job Description:

    Job Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Performs necessary repairs to all production and maintenance equipment
    • Picks up supplies as needed from local vendors using company vehicle
    • Provides and ensures preventive maintenance on production equipment and necessary building equipment Maintains and repairs basic electrical, construction, and plumbing needs
    • Performs routine maintenance on thermoforming machines
    • Completes required job tickets in IQMS, which include: 1) opening PM work orders, 2) closing PM work orders with applicable project notes, 3) adding applicable hours and 4) adding maintenance spare parts used Maintains a clean and safe organized work area
    • Other duties as assigned


    Job Qualifications:
    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

    • Basic knowledge of and aptitude for mechanical principles
    • Basic knowledge of and aptitude for electrical principles including 480 voltage Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings
    • Good working knowledge shop math
    • Good working knowledge of measuring instruments
    • Ability to continuously lift, reach, stand, and walk throughout the day Good written and verbal communication skills
    • Good manual dexterity and agility Good computer skills
    • Basic welding skills
    • Other duties as assigned


    Experience

    • High school Diploma or equivalent
    • Two to Five Years Maintenance experience
    • Two years Plastics and/or Thermoforming experience preferred
    • Certifications preferred in machine repair, basic automated electronic systems, and chemical spills Forklift certification
    • Lock Out / Tag Out certification
    • NFPA electrical training certification Welding skills
    • Machines, Tools, and Equipment
    • Thermoformers and hand held tools
    • Basic shop equipment
    • Snow blower equipment
    • Forklifts
    • Pneumatics / Hydraulics / Electrical
    • Lathe, milling, grinding, and welding apparatuses

    Skills:
    Keeps accurate inventory of spare parts &/or supplies
    Safely & properly uses all shop hand tools, equipment and forklifts Responsible for Preventive Maintenance (PM) on production equipment
    Works well independently
    Responsible for time and productivity
    Practices good safety practices and wears proper PPE
    In IQMS, able to charge hours and spare parts to PM work orders
    Troubleshoots all maintenance processes including HVAC, pneumatics, electrical, hydraulics, including reading schematics
    Runs small electrical service when needed
    Works well independently
    Prepares layout works, reads blueprints, and bends sheet metal
    Provides plumbing, electrical and welding services as needed
    In IQMS, able to open PM work orders for any piece of equipment
    Reads and programs all PLC logics processes without supervision
    Accurately reviews, diagnoses, and troubleshoots equipment issues
    Spots maintenance deficiencies and recommends corrective action
    Assists in the supervision of Maintenance personnel
