- Proficient in the design, development, integration, testing and support of large database systems necessary to support the information system needs.
- Performs monitoring and tuning for performance and recommends Application database enhancements.
- Build DB2 native standby databases and configure them optimally.
- Any of the DB replication tools like Qrep, Qlik and/or Informatica CDC
- Experience with Online utilities, indexing strategies, index management and statistics for 500 million+ row tables.
- Experience in Performance Tuning and Optimization, using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
- Strong SQL and application coding skills
- Complete familiarity with various database maintenance and administration utilities.
- Experience with Data Replication, and proficient in task scripting.
- Experience with DB2 database on EC2/AWS
- Deep understanding of AWS Storage with respect to DB2 database
- Problem-solving and communication skills.
- DB2 DBA Certification is a plus.
