- Scan patient insurance cards into eCW and verify insurance.
- Collect patient copay, co-insurance, or deductible if applicable.
- Schedule patient appointments.
- Answer incoming calls and triage to appropriate staff members if necessary.
- Communicate effectively with physicians, care coordinators, patients, and pharmacy staff.
- Address outgoing referral requests from providers.
- Maintain flexibility and help others as needed throughout the day.
- High School Diploma/GED
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Professional phone etiquette
- Proficient in the use of EMR & Practice Management systems
- Detail oriented and highly organized
- Ability to multi-task while remaining focused on providing exceptional customer service.
- Ability to work well with patients, physicians, and coworkers.
