    Job Description

    The Payor Contract Analyst role involves assisting in payor negotiations and strategic decisions regarding existing payor relationships by conducting financial modeling and analysis.

    Job Functions:

    • Evaluate the profitability of new and existing payor contracts by analyzing complex data.
    • Maintain all payor agreements and amendments, ensuring effective communication of changes and financial impacts to leadership.
    • Utilize various data extracts and formats for comprehensive financial reconciliations of payor inputs.
    • Analyze payor data sets to pinpoint discrepancies, irregularities, or significant financial changes and share findings with relevant stakeholders.
    • Develop and manage a list of strategic initiatives with estimated financial values, overseeing the process from start to finish.
    • Collaborate internally and externally to meet key deliverables promptly and ensure timely and accurate completion of all initiatives.
    • Conduct ongoing audits and monitoring of payer files for analytics, promptly communicating any identified changes or discrepancies to relevant stakeholders.

    Experience and Skills:

    • 3-5 years of financial analytical experience in a managed care/physician group environment.
    • Bachelor's degree in business administration (Finance, Economics, Accounting preferred).
    • Expertise in Excel, including file translation, complex formulas, and pivot tables.
    • Knowledge of SQL (preferred but not mandatory).
    • Ability to present financial results in summarized power point presentations with charts and visuals.
    • Capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment, managing priorities, and meeting deadlines without constant supervision.
    • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the capacity to effectively discuss complex financial healthcare topics both verbally and in writing.
    • Deep understanding of managed care, with a focus on Medicare Advantage population.

    Pay: Starting salary at $80,000 (open to negotiation based on experience). Palm Medical Centers promotes diversity and inclusion and is an equal opportunity employer.
