- Responsible for all shipping and receiving functions; load, unload and move materials and supplies within the warehouse area; operate a forklift to move heavy material from trucks and in the yard
- Maintain safety compliance with equipment operations to include but not limited to forklifts, pallet jacks and powered electric jacks.
- Performs all staging materials (kitting) for daily telecom projects as requested
- Inventory: Tracks and cycle counts to ensure that stock levels are accurate
- Keeps management apprised of any delays, discrepancies, unsafe working conditions, vehicle or stockroom irregularities or maintenance issues
- Manages effective utilization of equipment and vehicle assets
- Maintains a clean, organized and safe stockroom and yard
- Ability to transport vehicles needing work to and from maintenance sites
- Collaborate with management to strive for continuous improvement including efficiency and cost savings initiatives across all areas of warehouse operations
- Other duties as assigned
- Previous experience performing material handing activities in the telecom field in construction is a plus
- Experience working a forklift, boom and jack highly desired
- Able to work independently and be self-motivated as this position is autonomous in nature
- Must possess and continue to possess a valid driver's license, and DOT Physical
- Forklift certified desired
- Knowledge of materials handling equipment and procedures.
- Ability to use hand and power tools applicable to trade.
- Knowledge of light equipment operation and/or maintenance.
- Knowledge of basic vehicle inspection and maintenance including tire pressure, checking oil and water levels.
- Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.
- High School Diploma required
- Hours of this position are generally 6:00a-3:00p with more overtime available. This is an autonomous position reporting to the COO in the Nashua NH office.
- Ability to lift, from floor to above head 75 lbs continuously
- Ability to sit, stand, climb, kneel, bend, lift, crawl, squat, reach and utilize both hands and feet. Environmental Conditions exposure is heat, cold, dust, wet, vibration and possible loud noises
- Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.
