    Data Center Technician Position at Merge IT

    Are you ready to join a team of dedicated professionals in the heart of data center operations? Our enterprise-level client is hiring four Data Center Technicians to work onsite in Ashburn, VA.

    Job Notes

    • 12+ month contract
    • Onsite in Ashburn, VA
    • Drug & Background checks required
    • Pay rate = $40-45 per hour (W2) depending on experience

    As a Data Center Technician at Merge IT, you will be responsible for managing equipment relocation, rack and stack procedures, server installations, and deinstallations. This role involves precise planning, equipment handling, cable management, and close collaboration with cross-functional teams.

    Responsibilities

    • Assist in planning and executing data center relocations
    • Safely handle and transport equipment during relocation processes
    • Manage cable organization and labeling during rack and stack procedures
    • Conduct quality checks and maintain documentation
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project objectives

    Qualifications

    • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications preferred
    • Experience in data center operations
    • Strong understanding of data center infrastructure
    • Proficiency in cable management and technical diagrams
    • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
