    Job Description

    We are seeking a specialized Gastroenterology Physician Assistant to join our team at Essen Health Care.

    The ideal candidate will have expertise in gastroenterology and hepatology, with the ability to work with patients who suffer from a range of gastrointestinal disorders, including celiac disease, gallbladder disease, chronic pancreatic disease, esophageal cancer, and others.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Consulting with patients to understand their health concerns and developing effective treatment plans.
    • Performing specialized tests to diagnose patients, including endoscopic and colonoscopy procedures.
    • Treating patients with various pancreatic diseases, such as Hepatitis B or C, hemochromatosis, autoimmune liver disease, cirrhosis, irritable bowel syndrome, ulcerative colitis, colon cancer, Crohn's disease, and more.
    • Determining proper courses of treatment and consulting with primary doctors as needed.
    • Analyzing patient historical data and working with other Providers, such as oncologists, in the case of cancer.

    Requirements

    • Graduation from an Accredited PA Program in the state of NY.
    • Preferable clinical working experience as a PA within the given specialty/service line, but none required.
    • Proficiency in performing endoscopic and colonoscopy procedures.
    • Proficiency with X-Rays, MRIs, and ultrasound scanning.
    • Attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Good interpersonal skills.
