- Provide leadership oversight (direct and indirect) to the EHS team and safety advocate network.
- Manage corporate safety specialists and/or site safety advocates.
- Support and manage the Safety Strategy and Safety Management System (SMS) for U.S. & Canada Operations
- Maintain regulatory compliance (OSHA, EPA, FMCSA, State/Local Regulators) at facility locations.
- Manage the development, maintenance, and oversight of corporate EHS software to ensure accurate recordkeeping, compliance, audit, and training.
- Manage, implement, and maintain internal safety and regulatory compliance programs including, but not limited to injury prevention, workers compensation, safety management, environmental management, ergonomics, and incident investigation.
- Track and analyze facility safety trends and leading risk indicators, and collaborate with all levels of management, site leadership, associates, and risk management to develop and implement corrective measures.
- Lead enterprise Kenco Operating System and safety network conference calls and meetings covering safety performance, trends, strategic objectives, leadership training, and compliance topics.
- Manage new facility/customer location mobilization by establishing site safety protocols, physical infrastructure, developing and administrating training, and writing site-specific procedures and policies.
- Oversee Kenco Safety Advocate network to include managing corporate procedures, training curriculum, certification, and EHS technical skills.
- Lead safety incident investigation, event learning, and case management process to ensure effective corrective and preventative measures are adopted and implemented. Manage associated EHS statistics and recordkeeping requirements.
- Review all safety documentation/reports for accuracy and completeness; ensure all required documents are forwarded to the appropriate governmental agencies, as well as internal Risk Management colleagues.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle position responsibilities and multiple projects at a time.
- Acts as liaison between Kenco and regulatory agencies.
- A Bachelor's Degree in environmental, safety, health physics, engineering or related subject with 6-8 years relevant experience is preferred.
- 5-7 years of experience developing and implementing EHS programs and systems in an operational or functional support role, required.
- Experience managing OSHA regulatory compliance (29 CFR 1910/1926), monitoring, and reporting environmental compliance (EPA, Tier II, SARA Title III), required.
- 1-3 years of warehouse/distribution/logistics experience, preferred.
- Experience managing commercial motor vehicle and transportation safety (FMCSA) and DOT Hazardous Materials and Waste regulations (IMDG, IATA, etc.) preferred.
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), or other relevant or comparable certification preferred.

About the Position
The Corporate Safety Manager is responsible for establishing priority, focus and operational standards for Environmental, Health and Safety (or EHS), including loss prevention/control activities.
The Corporate Safety Manager will serve as a leader in the oversight, implementation and management of programs, policies, communication efforts, reporting, administration, and accident prevention in accordance with Kenco Safety Management System (SMS), internal company policies and guidelines, and all applicable regulatory standards in the states/countries where we operate.
Responsible for developing guidance documents and tools to improve the business and mentor existing sites as well as in the generation of new business.
Responsible for direct supervision of corporate safety specialists and site safety professionals.Functions
