- Prevent, assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, communication, cognitive-communication, social, and swallowing disorders in students.
- Evaluate the communication skills of program-referred students and diagnose speech and/or language disorders.
- Schedule students appropriately and provide consultative services to teachers, parents, admins, and allied agencies to integrate educational goals into the classroom, other educational programs, and the home environment.
- Assure the placement of students in the Speech-Language Pathologist program and support SLP objectives on IEPs.
- Participate in and/or conduct individualized education plans (IEPs) staffing to discover and relate pertinent data used in the determination of student needs.
- Attend required meetings and conferences as needed.
- Perform evaluations on program-referred students and make treatment recommendations.
- The ability to work with diverse students ranging in age, demographic, and disability.
- Must have an Active State of Washington Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) License
- Prior experience working as an SLP with students in a school-based setting.
