    Job Summary

    We are seeking a dynamic Security Analyst Tier II to join our team and play a crucial role in our cybersecurity efforts and monitors, analyzes, and responds to security incidents and vulnerabilities. This position requires a deep understanding of cyber threats and the ability to analyze and interpret data from various sources to protect the organization from potential risks.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities

    • Continuously monitor security systems and tools for incidents and anomalies, responding appropriately to mitigate risks.
    • Conduct in-depth analysis of security logs, alerts, and outputs from various cybersecurity tools and platforms.
    • Lead incident response activities, including investigation, documentation, and coordination with relevant teams to resolve security incidents.
    • Develop and refine threat detection and response strategies to improve overall security posture.
    • Collaborate with IT and development teams to advise on security best practices and vulnerabilities within the infrastructure and applications.
    • Prepare and present regular reports on incident trends, security posture, and improvement recommendations.
    • Stay abreast of the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies to inform security strategies and defenses.

    Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

    • Strong knowledge of network protocols, operating systems, and secure architectures.
    • Experience with SIEM tools, vulnerability assessment tools, and incident response techniques.
    • Ability to analyze and interpret data from a variety of cybersecurity tools.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
    • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
    • 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity, specifically in a security operations or analyst role.
    • Relevant cybersecurity certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CEH, CISSP) are preferred.
